General Visa Application Requirements to Make An Application For Gambian Business Visa

  1. Business visa application for Gambia – Completed Gambian visa application form.
  2. Original and signed passport – The passport has to be valid for at least 6 months prior to entering Gambia and 3 months after departing Gambia. It has to contain at least 2 extra visa pages and can not be older than ten years.
  3. Passport type photo – Photo must be no older than six months and need to be 35 x 40mm in width.
  4. Previous passport – Give a previous passport if you had any.
  5. Previous visas – Copies of previous Gambian visas details if you had any.
  6. Flight tickets to Gambia – Reservation of return or round trip flight tickets. In some scenarios the Gambian visa office may ask for pre paid flight tickets to Gambia.
  7. Travel insurance – Proof of travel insurance policy with a minimum cover set by the Gambian consular office provided with the Certificate of Insurance and the table of benefits. The travel insurance coverage should cover the expense of repatriation for medical reasons and the Certificate of Currency should be issued by an insurer.   8. Original bank statements – Original bank statements for the last 3 months showing adequate funds to cover stay in Gambia. If statements are printed online after that it needs to be Authenticated (stamped) by the financial institution officials.
  9. Hotel Reservations in Gambia – Copy of confirmed hotel reservations including name of the applicant, name and address of the hotel, length of stay. In many situations, only bookings which are partially or completely pre-paid can be accepted.
  10. Work letter – This letter must be: original and signed letter from employer written on company letter head paper, validating your ongoing employment, the status of employment, monthly salary and yearly leave. Likewise, please offer your three most recent pay slips. If you are self-employed: offer certified copies of company registration, tax return.
  11. For students. Please supply the following:
  • Evidence of present student status: Certificate of Enrollment.
  • Original and signed letter from university written on university letter head paper, confirming on-going enrolment, verifying the payment of tuition fees or any scholarships, and confirming term break.
  • Insurance coverage from Organisation/University – Supply a letter from the University specifying the purpose, period of travel and confirmation that you are going to be covered by the insurance coverage for the whole trip together with the Certificate of Currency and summary of benefits.

Generally, visa applications for Gambian visa should be submitted for a maximum of 6 months, and no later than 15 days, before the journey.
