General Visa Application Requirements to Apply for Swedish Visitor Visa

  1. Visitor visa application for Sweden – Completed Swedish visa application form.
  2. Original and signed passport – The passport needs to be valid for at least six months prior to entering Sweden and 3 months after leaving Sweden. It must have a minimum of two extra visa web pages and can not be older than 10 years.
  3. Passport type photo – Photo has to be no older than six months and ought to be 35 x 40mm in width.

  9. Hotel Reservations in Sweden – Copy of confirmed hotel reservations including name of the applicant, name and address of the hotel, length of stay. In most circumstances, only bookings which are partly or completely pre-paid can be accepted.
  10. Work letter – This letter should be: original and signed letter from employer written on company letter head paper, confirming your ongoing employment, the status of employment, monthly salary and annual leave.   11. For students. Please give the following:
  • Evidence of present student status: Certificate of Enrollment.

  • Insurance coverage from Organisation/University – Give a letter from the University specifying the purpose, period of travel and confirmation that you will be covered by the insurance policy for the entire trip in addition to the Certificate of Currency and summary of benefits.
