General Visa Application Requirements to Make An Application For Turk Tourist Visa
- Traveler visa application form for Turkey – Completed Turk visa application form.
- Original and signed passport – The passport has to be valid for at least six months prior to going into Turkey and 3 months after departing Turkey. It needs to contain at least 2 extra visa pages and can not be older than 10 years.
- Passport type photo – Photo needs to be no older than 6 months and must be 35 x 40mm in width.
- Previous passport – Supply a previous passport if you had any.
- Previous visas – Copies of previous Turk visas information if you had any.
- Flight tickets to Turkey – Reservation of return or round trip flight tickets. In some instances the Turk visa office might request for pre-paid air travel tickets to Turkey.
- Travel insurance – Evidence of travel insurance coverage with a minimum cover set by the Turk consular office provided with the Certificate of Insurance coverage and the table of benefits. - Original bank statements – Original financial institution statements for the last 3 months revealing adequate funds to cover your visit in Turkey. If statements are printed online after that it needs to be Authenticated (stamped) by the financial institution officials.
- Hotel Reservations in Turkey – Copy of confirmed hotel bookings including name of the applicant, name and address of the hotel, length of stay. In many circumstances, only bookings which are partly or completely pre-paid can be accepted.
- Employment letter – This letter needs to be: original and signed letter from employer written on company letter head paper, verifying your ongoing employment, the status of employment, monthly income and annual leave. Also, please provide your three most recent pay slips. If you are self-employed: offer certified copies of business registration, tax return.
- For students. Please give the following:
- Proof of current student status: Certificate of Enrollment.
- Original and signed letter from university written on university letter head paper, affirming ongoing enrolment, verifying the payment of tuition fees or any type of scholarships, and confirming semester break.
- Insurance coverage from Organisation/University– Give a letter from the University specifying the purpose, period of travel and confirmation that you will be covered by the insurance for the whole journey in addition to the Certificate of Currency and summary of benefits.
Generally, visa applications for Turk visa need to be submitted for a maximum of 6 months, and no later than 15 days, before the journey.
