General Visa Application Requirements to Apply for Indonesian Visitor Visa

  1. Tourist visa application for Indonesia – Completed Indonesian visa Form.
  2. Original and signed passport – The passport needs to be valid for a minimum of 6 months before going into Indonesia and 3 months after leaving Indonesia. It needs to contain at least two spare visa web pages and can not be older than 10 years.
  3. Passport type photo – Photo should be no older than 6 months and need to be 35 x 40mm in width.
  4. Previous passport – Provide a previous passport if you had any.
  5. Previous visas – Copies of previous Indonesian visas information if you had any.
  6. Flight tickets to Indonesia – Reservation of return or round trip flight tickets. In some instances the Indonesian visa office might ask for pre paid air travel tickets to Indonesia.
  7. Travel insurance policy – Proof of travel insurance policy with a minimum cover set by the Indonesian consular office provided with the Certification of Insurance policy and the table of benefits. The travel insurance policy have to cover the expense of repatriation for medical reasons and the Certificate of Currency have to be issued by an insurer.   8. Original financial institution statements – Original financial institution statements for the last 3 months revealing adequate funds to cover your trip in Indonesia. If statements are printed online after that it needs to be Validated (marked) by the financial institution officials.
  9. Hotel Reservations in Indonesia – Copy of confirmed hotel bookings including name of the applicant, name and address of the hotel, length of stay. In many conditions, only bookings which are partially or completely pre-paid can be accepted.
  10. Work letter – This letter has to be: original and signed letter from employer written on company letter head paper, verifying your ongoing employment, the status of employment, regular monthly income and yearly leave. Also, please give your three most recent pay slips. If you are self-employed: supply certified copies of business registration, income tax return.
  11. For students. Please give the following:
  • Evidence of current student status: Certificate of Enrollment.
  • Original and signed letter from university written on university letter head paper, affirming ongoing enrolment, confirming the payment of tuition fees or any type of scholarships, and confirming semester break.
  • Insurance coverage from Organisation/University – Supply a letter from the University stating the purpose, duration of travel and confirmation that you will be covered by the insurance coverage for the entire trip together with the Certificate of Currency and summary of benefits.

Generally, visa applications for Indonesian visa need to be sent for a maximum of 6 months, and no later than 15 days, prior to the trip.
